Happy New Year
Hoping you all enjoyed a great Christmas and wishing you all every happiness and success in 2013. My Christmas card mail out was a complete muddle this year mainly due to a computer failure and some incompetence on my part, so apologies and belated best wishes if you didn’t receive a card.
Every New Year I pledge to post more regularly on my blog and every year I fail but may be 2013 is the year I will achieve success. You will just have to watch this space.
My year ahead is filling up rapidly with more studio workshops and breaking new ground by introducing some 3 day specials. Two trips planned to Spain and another to the lovely Sibillini mountains in Italy in June (spaces still available for this one) and a return to the US in September with a masterclass at Denver Botanic Gardens and a new workshop in Los Angeles. I shall also be returning to Derwent to demonstrate later in the year plus four workshops at RHS gardens, Wisley. Dates and details for all these will be on the site soon.
Also look out for some sale bargains and a possible trial run for a Distance Learning programme later.
Finally as a footnote I recently came into contact with Abigale Ada Grace, a Botanical Illustration student, studying at the School of Botanical Art and Illustration at the Denver Botanic Garden’s. She was one of three recipients of a 2012 BI-Scholarship from the gardens and has and created an online crowd funding campaign to raise the money to pay for her courses and materials. You can check out her Indiegogo Campaign at http://www.indiegogo.com/supportabigale
Good luck with all your projects in 2013 and looking forward to meeting many of you over the course of the year.
