Inspired by this stunning small magnolia which bloomed magnificently in my garden in late spring after the frosts. My favourite colour and I wanted to capture the bold buds and blooms perched on the branches among the leaves like big pink tea cups.

My originals are set in off white, deep-cut mounts.
