Corn on the Cob
£950.00
Coloured Pencil with Graphite
I bought this corn a while ago when fresh and plump from a local farmer’s market and placed it in the studio fridge awaiting my attention. Time passed, it faded and dried until eventually it caught my eye as an object of interest. I just love all these subtle, faded colours and the sharply etched veins. I achieved the colours using the underpainting technique so I could concentrate on all the fine details in graphite drawing choosing to keep the, still plump kernels, in pure colour as the focus of the image.
Also available as a limited edition print.
