Making a Point

27th July 2014

This is the first of, what I hope to make,a regular blog keeping you up to date with all the latest equipment news and views.
Starting this week with a step-by-step on how to use a desktop pencil sharpener.
We have been selling either the Rapesco 64 or the identical QConnect sharpeners for sometime now but we are constantly finding that unless you have been on the two-day ‘How to Sharpen your Pencils’ workshop students are often finding them tricky to use. So here it is in simple steps
First depress the black button on the right front of the machine and push the front forward.

Insert the pencil and let go of the black button, the pencil will be gripped by the jaws of the sharpener.

Stabilise the machine either with the desk clamp supplied or by holding the top firmly. Turn the handle to sharpen the pencil. The handle will go slack when the pencil is sharp, so no fear of over sharpening.

Press the black button on the side again to release the sharpened pencil and step back in amazement at your wonderful sharp point.
