A day at the SBA

Wow, it’s a lovely show this year, beautifully hung and colour co-ordinated, giving the work space to breath. This plus the large number of modern, light coloured frames which lend a contemporary feel, all help to let the work sing out without a lot of unneccesary clutter.

I had a great day doing a gallery tour in the morning, meeting loads of friends and former students, then spending the afternoon demonstrating underpainting with graphite to quite a large and interested crowd.

Do go and see the exhibition if you get the chance, it is on until Sunday.
