New Originals and Prints
You can view these two new originals which I completed this year on my website and they are also available as limited edition prints. Do let me know if you like them. Getting back to working life size after a year or more concentrating on my ‘Larger than Life’ series has been a joy.
‘Almond-Life Cycle’
I really had in mind to get right back to graphite drawing when I started this piece in the autumn in Spain. Graphite is my default position when inspiration and confidence fails. However, when I revisited Spain in the spring and saw all the deliciously delicate blossoms I just had to include some colour as well. Click here to view print.
‘Ripening Olives-Line Drawing’
Drawn in November 2016 when I was inspired by the heavily laden olive trees surrounding the Finca el Cerrilo. The olives as they ripen change exhibit a rainbow colours. The shadows were added as an experiment. This is something totally new to me and I’m finding this adds another dimension to the work. Great fun to do. I feel a workshop coming on!
Apologies for the lack of blogs. I have been focusing on creating my new online tuition program. All being well this will be going live in April. You can keep up to date on progress by registering for my online newsletter ‘Pencil Points’. I send this out every 4 – 8 weeks with all my news, adventures and exhibitions.
