Day 1 of the 5 day challenge

Day 1 Thank you to Susan Rubin for nominating me for this challenge. I’m not sure if I am doing it correctly but here goes.
These three images are my early cabbages, the first round Savoy was drawn in 1989 quite roughly; the second Savoy, drawn in 1990, launched my career. On the strength of this drawing I gave up my job and started drawing full time. The third is a January King done in about 1992 in my signature style of underpainting with all the detail and form in graphite pencil on the top. I nominate the lovely Susan diMarchi.
